Just a heads up:

I am aware that the latest Win64 Rack 2 package is being flagged by Windows Defender on Windows 10.I am trying to determine why the game is being flagged - some of my colleagues have told me they've experienced similar issues with their games made in Unity.

I'm fairly confident that the flag is nothing to worry about, but as a precaution, I've run a full scan on my machine to make sure I'm not infected with something that could have injected itself into the game before I distributed it. Everything came up clean.

I will let you guys know if I figure anything out.

Solution? Disable the useless Windows Defender!

tumaru

I would suggest moving to avira antivius from defender. It's consistently in the top three antivius programs.

Good looking out, playboy.

I've heard of this being a common issue with unity games. Windows defender is very sensitive.

I'm Using Win10Pro and no got any warning as i've startet Rack2 v0.1.0, good i use Kaspersky Total Security, and on installation the Suite has disabled te Windows-Defender bacause it is useless and can procsess fail-alerts like in your files. Don't worry Fek, your Rack2 files are clean, otherwise Kaspersky has warn me, because it scans every file that i'm start for trojans, viruses, and other harmful background programs. I hope this comment helps you. Your Nasrem

Master Leon

@tumaru If you have installed Avira it is like you have no protection, Avira let pass over 50% of all harmful programms or files, and produces more fail-alerts then the windows defender, Avira has the weakest protection of all security-suites, you can read this on every test from security-suites.

Vik the Rebel

That is absolutely not true. Avira has the lowest pass raits for harmful programs.

I didn't see it, but then again not sure I have latest patch XD

Master Leon

I mean the free version of avira that is most used, the power of this version from Avira is so bad, that you are better secured if you don't use any security-suite. And BTW the Full-Version of Avira does not have the best protection(if you don't believe check it on av-test.org) Protection5,5/6 self Avast Free has better protection(6/6) and this version is Free to use, but back to Topic, there is no harmful files or programs in Rack 2 v0.1.0, ignore the warning from Windows-Defender

So I tried changing my system local from Korea to US[english] and it seemed to work.. hmph... I would hate to reconfigure my local every time I want to play this game.. since my work requires me to stay in my current local.

Interesting - that's actually really good to know! Unity might not play nicely with foreign character sets in filenames or something like that!

Where do you get this insane 50% stat? Page 8 99.7% http://www.av-comparatives.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/avc_prot_2016a_en.pdf 98.8% https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/windows-10/april-2016/avira-antivirus-pro-2016-161480/ I picked it above a better one because it had a good free version and its german rather then american, russian or chinese.

No virus on my end. Using AVAST!.

Jun Hyung Cho, I suggest this: https://xupefei.github.io/Locale-Emulator/ It will allow you to run individual programs in any locale you wish without changing the whole system.

Norton has no complaints about Rack 2, if it's any consolation.

No Virus alerts from Windows not even the firewall alert. I can extract the files but I can't extract the application for some reason.

Many people experience this problem on Unity games, if you are like me, you don't want to exclude files scanned anywhere for nasty viruses to hide. Instead of disabling things, just run the 32-bit version, it doesn't set anything off, and 64-bit windows can run 32-bit apps. Your saves should(?) run off of the 32-bit exe but I'm not really sure. I switched between the two and found my save file was still there, but I made a new one anyways because I only just started dicking around with the game.
