IMPORTANT NOTICE:

You might need to delete your old save data if the game crashes on startup. On windows, the save data can be found at:

\AppData\LocalLow\Fek\Rack 2_ Furry Science\

To delete your save data, just delete that entire folder.

--------------------------

New in this build:

- Clothing is now loaded from the public resources directory, instead of internal resources, allowing it to be modded.

- I've put a little more work into the tail fur system. This system is still incomplete, but it now supports some organic randomization, more detail, and is generally just a little bit more pleasant to look at. I feel obligated to mention that while the system is incomplete and will still see improvements (especially once I start focusing on art, instead of frameworks), we are approaching the point where I say "chunky / low poly is the style I'm going for".

- Fixed several clothing clipping issues, and added some new street clothes for the PC to start in.

- Fixed several physics bugs, and improved the behavior and deformation of most body parts, especially the dick and breasts

- You can now equip clothing from a changing station in the showers.

- Clothing now covers up embellishments that would otherwise clip through the clothing. Some embellishments, like antlers and horns, are exempt from this.

- A decal painting system has been added to the character editor. You can now apply any image you want to a character, anywhere you want. A small library of test decals has been added. You can add more by simply dropping decals (256x256 PNG) into the \AppData\LocalLow\Fek\Rack 2_ Furry Science\decals\ directory.

- Any texture layer, including decals, can now be set to glow.

- Cleaned up the character editing interface a bit, and added a new relaxed T-pose option.

- Added functionality that allows characters to hold objects.

- NPCs are now generated with randomized color schemes.

- The character quick-start form now has a color randomization option.

- Improved the new player sequence a little bit. New players are taking to the character customization screen, then given a tour of the laboratory by the requisitions officer.

- Did some more level design stuff. There is now a client management desk, where you'll select test subjects to put into your research rooms, as well as a storage area and a chemical research area.

- Reworked the embellishment system to be more resilient to mesh changes and custom body parts. As a result, embellishments might be misplaced on characters made in 0.0.7 or earlier.

Ok, seem to not be able to get past the loading screen. I've tried various window sizes, graphics quality settings, and starting from both a save and a new account multiple times. No go. Always aborts at some point or hangs. Where do I send the log and such? Managed to get to the character design screen (the first one when making a new save)... it froze when I hit next>>> (just a bit after).

If you have save data from a previous build, you might need to manually wipe it. (It's located in\AppData\LocalLow\Fek\Rack 2_ Furry Science\ - you can just delete that entire folder). I'll check to see where debug dumps are located real quick

Is there a reason there is no download link?

Wolfie Randolf

Ok, deleting the folder worked. But I can still send you the data.

Anonymous

what am I doing wrong herre

Anonymous

If you haven't changed it... Consider changing it so that everytime you delete a save file, you don't exit the game!

Anonymous

i think i just need to delete it all and start from scratch im not computer savvy so.........i figure this is my best course of action, and mine does exit out entirely after deleting a save file, at least i know now that that's not a bad thing

Anonymous

Well it can get a bit annoying :/

Anonymous

I would like to experience that... Can't seem to find a way to get version 0.0.8 and I agree... The light can get a bit bright sometimes

Forvet

Game hangs on "Building NPC". It won't get past HR Manager on a new character, and I can't load old characters.

Forvet

I deleted my the entire Appdata folder and it worked.

Wolfie Randolf

one doesn't want to delete the entire Appdata folder... many programs need the data stored there....just the one for r2ck.

Wolfie Randolf

click the text at the top of this that says R2CK 0.0.8 . big bold black lettering, first thing under the picture. It's a link.

still cant get mine to work

same. crashes after it hangs on loading the chemical researcher for a while. i deleted all related folders and redownloaded from scratch. i've also noticed that upon launching, you're no longer given the opportunity to futz with your resolution and graphics? it came up once, but i haven't seen it since in my many attempts to reboot the game...

Anonymous

Anyone else hanging during loading? Its happening if I create a new, or use an old save, juts perpetually loads 'npc manager'

Anonymous

Like others, I ended up deleting the entire Rack2 folder in Appdata - just deleting the savedata info did not fix my loading problems.

Anonymous

Has anyone been able to locate the appdata folder on a mac?

Anonymous

go to your library (if you can't access it, just look up a quick YT tutorial on how to make your library folder visible), then application support, and the folder should be in there and titled "utility.Fek.Rack 2/ Furry Science"!

Anonymous

i deleted the entire rack2 folder as well and all traces of it, but it still crashes or freezes when loading... can't seem to beat dat loadin screen
