Finally a prototype I am less ashamed of to share with. AEHentai helped rush an animation for a new species, but the result is stunning! The remaining two species' animations will be done hopefully this coming week. 

Many changes have been made, including some mechanics and difficulty level. Right now the difficulty is limited to 2 lanes, 2 monsters/lane, as a prototype should be somewhat enjoyable. Advanced difficulty can be experienced in future demo, for those who can pressure an enemy kingdom to a point of extinction!


3 things to know before playing:

1. Spawning monster with Puzzle blocks:

Click once to select the puzzle blocks, click on the selected puzzle again to lock them(outline turns red), and click on them again to activate them. Combinations of puzzle block require spawning the respective Tentacle Monster are listed on the Monster chart, which includes the use of 4 different colors, 4 different cell backgrounds, and 4 different nucleus. Activating overlapping combinations will produce a random result among the selected choices. Combining multiple species for activation does not produce benefits for now.

2. Class Countering System:

50% bonus damage is added when attacking a countered unit.

3. Effects:

Unlock powerful effect for a species by fulfilling the kills condition listed on the Monster chart!


In general, effects that require harsher conditions to unlock are more powerful. There will be exceptions of course. The species are hardcoded now for the prototype, but later on players should be able to customize their own fleet. Please note the stats and abilities of the monsters are not final and maybe subject to adjustment. 

Known Bugs:

-an unintended way to activate puzzle combo

-puzzle activation problem with overlapping conditions (eg 3 colors + 3 single nucleus)

-no victory/defeat event for this prototype (score goes below 0)

Yes I agree, I have been working on something that is more intuitive for us human players.
