It's been a super productive week for the dev department. I have been having a great time working with Arfhis (our new dev). He even offered creative ideas to solve game design problems. I am in heaven^^

Here are the biggest changes in gameplay after revamp:

  • items will be replacing hearts on the battle, which will affect monsters' fighting ability on top of activating their battle effects

  • these items, probably mostly food, can be found on conquered territories

  • these items can also be used outside of battle, which would offer different types of impacts

  • traveling between conquered territories will now cost turns

  • conquered territories are not perma conquered anymore, by default they would be retaken by enemies within 5 turns

  • Release will replace defend, which would allow players to use their excess tentacle monsters as tokens to extend the occupying period of conquered territories

  • Desire, a new attribute, will determine the difficulty of the mission Lilith wants (communicating through Journal). Achieving the mission would

  • fulfill the desire would result in more difficult new missions, but better rewards. Desire reaching below 0 would result in a game over, however.

  • unlocking the bonding events, except for the first two events, will require leveling up relationship and high desire

  • unlocking thrive scenes (7 so far) will require a certain desire level and fulfilling thrive conditions

Not sure I missed anything, but I don't think the revamp changes would be limited to these. So I will keep the progress update short for now.

Any plan to bring back the comics in the future?

We still have a few not yet published. I will get back to it after I am no longer the bottleneck of the operation. Though no long term plan to make more unless the reaction is good.
