After the Day of Mourning, warforged colossi were thought to have all been destroyed. Until very recently, a few have been found dormant in remote places. It cannot be certain how many are left in the land, but it is safe to say not many still stand. Once fierce fighters that could win any battle are now standing still somewhere out there waiting to be shaken from their slumber. Time is ticking for these gargantuans ever since interest has grown on their locations. Evil mages and ill-willed wizards have planned to overtake one of the mightest of colossuses, Azehdiok. The only hope to stop this is up to those that are brave enough to arrive first and take command of the construct, or try to destroy this giant warrior once and for all.

This is the 3rd part of the Colossus series. I see a great possibility  to continue adding more areas of the interior, such as the abdomen area, hips and spiral stairs in the legs. Let me know what you think.

Thank you all for your support!

My players are about to accidentally summon a Terrasque and now I know how they're going to beat it. Go go power rangers!! Thanks man!

Dude, I asked Dynamic Dungeons for this about a year ago and he still hasn't made one. This is awesome!

Epic Quest

Thank you Aron! I’m glad to know you found here something you were looking for. I’m thinking about adding some more areas, and as always, suggestions are welcome.

The engine room is fantastic!!!!!! I'm actually using the Engine Room as the work center for a Brain in the Jar!

Epic Quest

I'm glad you like it my friend! Brain in a Jar... that's brilliant! ...psychic assaults are evil, Todd... EVIL! I really want to hear the rest of the story. LOL!

E Rad

@Epic Quest, first I want to say that I really enjoy your maps, but I play on Fantasy Grounds which does not utilize animated maps. I support you on the Epic Master level so I have access to the animated versions in the hope that some day FGU will allow the use of animated maps, but for now it's only stills. That said, the stills are too low-res for my games. Is there a possibility that you could include a higher definition option for the stills?

Epic Quest

Hi E Rad! Thank you for your support, it means a lot to me, and I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying my maps. All stills and videos are 1920 x 1080, which is categorized as Full HD resolution (not low-res). Do you mean you are interested in 4K (UHD) stills? I've been considering offering animated and static maps at 4K resolution, but the sizes of each of these files are significantly high and you would have to allocate enormous space on your hard drives to save them, and not everyone finds this very appealing. For example one minute of 1080 video might take about 100-150MB of space, but one minute of 4K video might take about 400 MB. So, you can imagine the space a mega map-pack like the Mega Dungeon would take up, which so far has 3 levels with more than 20 files each. Or The Stronghold, with more than 140 files.

Could go from 6 Gb to 24Gb. Raising the resolution of just static maps is definitely an option, as it wouldn't take up as much space as animated maps. I'm curious, I would like to know how many people in this community would be interested in animated 4K maps. Maybe it's a good topic for the next poll. Thank you for your message E Rad, if you have questions or any other suggestion please DM me at any time.

E Rad

Yes, I was referring to 4k static images. The video files look ok to me, but then again I haven't used any of them in a game. That said, I don't think a larger file size would be a controversial issue because I suspect that people value a more crisp image and wouldn't have a problem saving them to their systems. Even if they just delete them when they're done using them. Personally, I have about 150gb of static map files on my PC and the vast majority of them are 4k (or higher) resolution. However, even if some folks don't have the space for files that large, I think that offering the option for static maps is the best way to go because many of us do and a lot of map creators already offer 4k/8k options.

Epic Quest

Yep, you are right. I’m one of those people that appreciate a more crisp image. In addition, we can all benefit from being able to have enough resolution to zoom in on map areas and not have to flip through map pages as we move from one area to another. I’ll work on that really soon. Thank you for your suggestions and ideas. Cheers!!!

Rob Leonard

I believe you've already arrived at your decision to offer 4K animated maps, but in case you're still evaluating... I prefer higher resolution and I support at least the 4K tier for all the artists I support. As far as hard drive space goes...storage is cheap these days. You can get 10TB+ for a couple hundred dollars...so not much of an issue in my book.

Ryan Dutra

Wondering if anyone knows of any .stl files for a "walking castle robot" mini that I could either print or buy. Wanting to try to keep it as close to to this colossus as possible

Scarlet T

Your timing could not be more perfect. I love this!

Really appreciate you converting these to WebM. Thank you!
