As you may have noticed my recent video was (juuust under) 40 minutes long. So first of all: thanks for your support so I could make such a beast of a video. It nearly killed myself, Alex (filming and editing) and Will (animations). We got there eventually!

The first rough-cut was actually much longer but I spent ages hacking it down to get it below 40 minutes. The last bit to go was this section which originally would have started at 15:16 in the video.

I was torn because I am always happy to admit to a mistake, but it was a bit too repetitive and did not add anything new to the video. Plus: Kip Thorne did try to come up with a justification for how they could land on the planet which is in the Science of Interstellar book.

I thought you might like to see it all the same. This was after we had done some colour grading to the footage and put in the clips from the film Interstellar but before we added music or graphics.
