1) I'm not sure if you realized that Arya is heading to Braavos to be with Jaqen H'ghar. 2) S4 Ep8 Littlefinger to Robin Arryn : People die at their dinner tables. They die in their beds. (Shae) They die squatting over their chamber pots. (Tywin) 3) It's a good thing Varys likes Tyrion. I don't think he was very nice to the last guy he put in a crate. 4) I'm wondering how long was Shae sleeping with Tywin.

Tyrion broke Shae's heart even if it was for the best in that situation and for her own security. Bitter people can do acts of revenge and are never to be underestimated. Maybe Shae just wanted payback for the man who she felt betrayed her and groomed Tywin for a better life.

I forgot how many game changing moments we got in this episode. The Hound, Shae and Tywin’s deaths, Tyrion and Varys leaving Westeros, Arya going to Braavos, Dany locking up her dragons, Stannis capturing Mance Rayder and Bran finally finding the 3 eyed raven. What an amazing finale!

I think the title The Children, is yes directly reference the Children of the Forest, but also the Lannister children who all had pretty big moments this episode (Cersei confessing to Tywin, Jaime breaking Tyrion out, and Tyrion killing Tywin), AND Dany’s dragons who she had to lock up for the safety of her people.

the “three eyed raven” is one of my favorite characters in a song of ice and fire. i just wanted to make this comment because they do not go into detail about him really. his name is brynden rivers, and he is referred to sometimes as bloodraven. he was a bastard of aegon iv targaryen (aegon the unworthy) and his mother was a blackwood. the blackwoods are the only southern house that believes in the old gods along with the houses in the north, and there is clearly some magic involved with the old gods. and of course the targaryens have a good deal of fire magic associated with them. bc of this bloodraven has a mix of both ice magic and fire magic within him, and he is a very powerful greenseer. “1000 eyes and 1” came from these powers of his and because he was blinded in one eye in battle. he used these powers when he was much younger to serve the realm/the targaryens, especially in the blackfyre rebellions. those wars started with daemon blackfyre (after him and all of aegon’s other bastards being legitimized) began a war to fight for the throne. bloodraven, despite being one of those legitimized bastards, fought staunchly against the blackfyre’s. he got sent to the wall after aegon v took the throne because he murdered a blackfyre that came to a great council to peacefully present his case for his claim to the iron throne. he travelled with maester aemon actually! he disappeared on a ranging shortly after becoming the lord commander on the nights watch and voila, we find him in the tree 100+ years old! sorry you know i always have to be super extra! lol also this is my 2nd favorite finale, besides an omission of something from tyrion’s story. my 1st favorite is yet to come!

Definitely the best finale so far by far. Stsnnis went to the wall bc of that scroll they sent. Thank God too cause Jon was about to be toast. A healthy Hound would have bested Brienne in a good fight but the infection from that "Fleabite" had him messed up. Arya even mentioned it had him walking slower 2 episodes ago. This was truly a great season for Tyrion and made him a true fan favorite. By the end of season 3 it was Arya and that's why they gave her her moment at the end there. Season 1 and 3 were Danny and season 2 was the Army of the dead. I love seeing her get to close out the season like that. Big adventures to come. The Hound was definitely an S tier character for me after this season. If you want to learn more about the children of the Forrest you need to watch the history and lore videos. There is 1 for each season and at this point you can watch the ones for season 1 through 4. They are about an hour long each and talk about GOT history narrated by different characters.

Yes, I actually did watch the first two history and lore videos before this episode, but forgot about the children of the forest while watching this. Didn't think about it. I am going to watch the season 3 and 4 one soon
