Just finished watching your reaction! Not sure if you caught it in this episode but all the scenes with Cersei in were actually her talking to the 3 judges of Tyrion's trial. First was her conversation with Margaery, agreeing with her and her place with Tommen. It ends with Cersei saying "speak to your father". Mace Tyrell (Margaery and Loras' dad) is the first judge, so that's done. She wants him and House Tyrell on her side for the trial. Next is Tywin. She agrees with him in this scene and her marriage to Loras. Getting him to think that she cares about the Lannister legacy, trying to guilt him into hating and blaming Tyrion more. Last we have her conversation with Oberyn. He is the final judge. Whilst her feelings are truthful and she wants to protect her daughter who is in Dorne, she also wants to use that against Oberyn, playing the "sympathy vote" card. Trying to relate and talk to him. All in all, 3 brilliant scenes all with a particular message behind them and hidden motive. Cersei is such a good character whether you love or hate her. She's such a well acted and scripted person in the show, hence my fave. Long comment 🤣 but looking forward to the rest of this season's reactions!

The Lysa/Jon Arryn reveal was HUGE for me when I first watched this. Littlefinger basically triggered the events of Game of Thrones.

You expressed the same level of surprise as I had when Lysa Arryn admits to being involved in her husband's death, poisoning him and writing her sister to blame the Lannisters. A great reveal. But it wasn't exactly her idea. When she confesses that Littlefinger put her up to it, that, for me, cements the realization of just how much of a manipulative mastermind Petyr Baelish is. Who armed an assassin with Tyrion's dagger to take out Bran Stark? Who paid the goldcloaks to turn on Ned when Joffrey ascended the throne? Who disrupted the Tyrells plan to marry Sansa to Loras? Who then conspired with Olenna to murder Joffrey? Who did Lord Varys say is the most dangerous man in Westeros? He sets Starks against Lannisters, Lannisters against Tyrells and blood against blood as he continues to climb his ladder of chaos.

I have a request. You should watch the "Game of Thrones Histories and Lore", those are a series of short animated videos with characters from the show telling additional lore. They were originally included in the Blue-ray versions of the show, but can be found on youtube. They are brilliant, I'm sure you would love to react to those! They are also subdivided by season, to avoid spoilers for later seasons. Some include spoilers for HotD sadly, but I'm sure community and mods can help you avoid those. So yeah, that would be my dream reaction

So, I actually did watch those videos for season 1 and 2 (I think I made a community post about it on YouTube and gave my thoughts). I previously did a poll asking if people would be interested in watching my reactions and it seemed the majority thought I should watch it but they don't want to see my reaction, hence why I decided to view them on my own time. They are wonderful though, adds a lot of detail to the series that makes me understand the world more. Haven't done the season 3 one yet though

Solid episode. The reason Cersie asked Margery to marry Tommen and the reason she went to talk to Oberyn is bc she's trying to get as many people on her side as she can before Tyrion's trial. Lysa Arryn and Robin still crazy AF lol. 2 of the strangest characters ever. What a great end to this one. RIP Craster's Keep. Some wild memories from season 2 to now lol. Jon sticking his sword through the back of Karl's head is up there with the best kills in the show. That and the Hound slamming that guys face down on his knife in episode 1 of this season.
