So, the director Kathryn Bigelow won an Oscar for best director for this. She is the very first woman director to ever win an Oscar which is huge. Also, she used to be married to fellow director James Cameron who was also nominated that year for best director for Avatar!

Well then you'll like this too, I think. So, before he was married to Kathryn he was married to big time producer Gale Ann Hurd, who produced TWD among other huge films.

Really a terrific film. That last bomb scene is pretty intense. Thompson (the first bomb tech that was killed in the beginning) was played by Guy Pierce. He has an amazing performance in the Christopher Nolan movie Memento (2000). I hope you'll get to see some of his films eventually. He's in a lot of good ones!

She also directed awesome vampire movie "Near Dark" in the 80s where she cast part of the actors from Aliens. James Cameron gave her the idea.

Near Dark is one of my favorites! I'm a vamp flick chick. I also love how Aliens and Near Dark had a few of the same actors. Paxton, Goldstein, and Hendrickson.
