I was really hoping you'd do this one, I'm assuming you'd seen the original 2018 before Patreon and that's why there's no reaction to it. I liked it but I'm curious to see how/if you enjoy it.

Yes we get a reaction 😍

Completely agreed that the ending was unrealistic, or at least it has to be clear that Michael is supernatural. This movie happened on the same night as the last one as well, meaning Michael already started off with blood loss, a gun shot to the shoulder, a stab wound in the back and a blown off hand on top of the fire injuries.

It seems like the movie is seriously hinting at it without actually saying it yet. Laurie even says at the very end just before he "resurrects" yet again that "he everytime he kills he transcends. Into something more. Because everytime somebody is afraid, the Boogeyman wins" or something to the lines of that. The director has said in interviews that is just Laurie's theory of Michael. The movie also tries to diminish the need for Laurie in this story by making the claim that it was Dr. Sartain's obessession that brought Michael to Laurie and that it wasn't Michael's obsession. Michael's obsession is only getting home. In every movie. Like the sherrif says, he's a six year old boy in the body of a man and the mind of an animal. He's been in a institution his whole adult life so when he does escape all he does is what a six year old boy would do and go home. They make the window in Judith's room an almost sacred mythical place that calls to him. I don't know why Michael is so brutal in this one because Michael was originally just created as the Boogeyman, a Shape, a stalker. He would just calmly stalk his victims until he finds a perfect moment to kill them, he wouldn't take on multiple people at once. My biggest gripe was at the end, only Sherrif Brackett, Lonnie and the random zebra-print guy had a gun? In small-town Illinois where Michael Myers has attacked before? More people didn't have guns. They brought just pipes. Brackett could have shot him at any moment before the beating. I guess everyone wanted their pound of flesh. Even Karen should have stabbed him in the back of the head instead of the back.

Awesome reaction man. Really enjoyed this movie. Yeah some cringy dialogue and strange ideas but overall its everything I want from a slasher! Cool bit of info though, although Haddonfield is in Illinois it's based on Bowling Green, KY where I live. And its literally about 15 mins from Smith's Grove here in KY where the sanitorium from the original film. Even some of the roads mentioned liked the Bypass & Lampkin are road names here in BG
