update.. (Patreon)

Yesterday I found a lot of brown carpet beatle larvaes inside my ferrets cage(20+ or so Dx), on a new bedding item I had bought for her. Poor little baby was locked in with these eggs and  larvaes every night for a week+ ;---; No wonder she quit using her favourite beds, and started sleeping in the floor level where there were no larvaes.

Anyhow, the grown up version of the beetle can fly, and makes shit tons of babies when mating + puts said babies(who feeds on fabrics) inside clothing/ any type of fabrics. 

I think the likelyhood of these beatles having spred outside of my room is slim, as we only found maybe 5 or so on the floor(and only found larvaes so far, and its very unlikely that the parent beatles stayed with their eggs inside the bedding after they laid eggs.), but taking the chance that they havent spread will be costly in the long run if they have spread, so right now im spending everyday cleaning the house, and all the clothing/fabrics, including throwing away unused ones, and anything they could have laid eggs in.

Some of the larvae had fallen on the floor, and gotten to below my closet which was right by the cage, so ive pretty much just dismantled the whole thing and thrown it away (I was planning on getting a new one either way luckily as half the closet was broken XD, aaaand the way to defeat these bugs means I wont be needing a closet for at least 3 weeks.) All my clothing that was in the closet are now enjoying a 2 week stay in my freezer, while im washing all of the other clothing, and putting them in boxes after checking that theyre clean. (more like looking over them, and then crossing my fingers they are clean, as these are hard to spot eggs/larvaes D:)

Doing my best to starve these bugs out of my house incase theyve put eggs elsewhere. Im hoping that reacting as early as possible will kill them before they lay more eggs :D
