Another week of my indie adventures ends, another recap gets written! Read it there!!

And since you're reading this, I might as well inform you that tomorrow I won't be writing the Doodle Insights #16 but instead I will be working on the voxel thing! I really think I can finish it this week and so the Doodle Insights #16 should come with it when that happens. If it turns out I need more time, I will write the Doodle Insights on a different subject on Friday or Saturday.

Thank you, have a nice week!

I wonder if you could still manage some sort of fake narrative for voxel forest. Just random poetry snippets everytime you hit a switch, hit enough and you get some neat effect as you float/descend into infinity. Since you first showed it I've been reminded of a lot of Proteus, which was mostly meditative. My only other idea would be an invisible enemy that chases you as you try to hit the switches. You need to trigger enough to escape permanently. Maybe have some safe spaces that you can hide in like a cabin. That sounds like more work though, and I'm not sure you could have an actual invisible enemy with directional audio cues in pico8. Good luck!

Random poetry sounds fun and I love Proteus! I'll keep these suggestions in mind! Invisible enemies sound tricky, especially because Pico-8 doesn't have stereo audio. But visible enemies is actually what I'm going for right now haha! Currently, I'm designing traps and things that would appear randomly and let you take care of the enemies, with the goal of pressing as many buttons as possible. :)
