My First blog posting (Little vacation) (Patreon)

Hello. This will be my first “blog” post here.

Most likely no one noticed, but I worked in “crunch” mode starting with MLA 0.8.9. I don’t really remember when it started, but it seems that it was around December 2018. Why did I do this? We really wanted to finish work on MLA as soon as possible. We did finish it (to find that the 3 years of work wasn’t the success we hoped), and then we needed to quickly show something new, so as not to lose all our patrons  -_-

Probably just such a protracted crunch was the cause of a lot of problems, but now that we have already fail everything, this is not important. I went on a short vacation for 2 weeks and tried to keep a small blog :) Why? Because I could.

I will write about games I played on vacation, perhaps about the industry as a whole. Due to recent events, I can’t promise that there will be no negative shares in the blog, so if you don’t want to read toxic whining, you can skip such posts right away :)

For starters, my post about what happened to MLA in Steam 

So there you go! The first pool of games I tried:

Detective Girl of the Steam City. This is a new game that was recently released in Steam. I am one of those people who are very dismissive of games on the RPG maker, but in this case the problem is not that. I launched this PORN game and it started throwing an absolutely boring story into me. The not-so-beautiful detective girl is investigating something there. For a very long time I tried to find a way to skip all this, reached the first sex scene and turned it off. It sucks.

1room -Runaway Girl. Cool little game! I always have a feeling that someone is stealing ideas from my notebook (in fact, they are simply not unique enough -_-). The game is actually in one location, but it is not something pretentious. A great way to spend 30 minutes.

Goblin Walker.  I would not say that this is a masterpiece ... but compared to what Patreon now generates, it is very cool. The most important thing is the real game. Not a visual novel with plastic women, but a real game with original, but still cool graphics.

Lust and Power. A game from Patreon ... It turned out to be very strange. Dude uses RenPy very peculiarly, but I would not say that this is a plus for him. No negativity, but very boring. Weird graphics.

Claire’s Quest. Another RPG maker game and it's awesome! I do not like games on this engine, but in this case, the author can be forgiven a lot for the art and plot.

Probably enough for the first post. Soon there will be a second.

P.S. Yes, when you read this, most likely my vacation has already ended and I just gradually posted everything that I wrote.
