"Aguinaldo" here not only translates to "Christmas bonus" but also sounds a lot like the Big Bird of México "Abelardo". Also here in México, when you say that something went to "la Chingada" that means that everything went wrong, also went you want to send someone "to hell" you tell them to "Go to la Chingada", finally "la chingada" is the name of an actual ranch here in México (maybe more than one) If you have a better translation/adaptation for this joke, please tell me.

With all the context explained. Macoatl is going to take a month's break from here, so this is the last Macoatl of the year, it should be back by January 13th for you (there will still be Rayah during the break)

---

I mentally translated "Rancho Chingada" as "Ranch Fucker" when I first read it! A very funny name for a Ranch! It feels like Chingada/o or Chingar and it's conjugations can translate into pretty much any swear word in English! hahaha I feel in the context of "vete a la chingada". the literal translation of "Go to hell" is natural in English too. There is also a city in the USA that's actually called Hell so that could work! I didn't know there was a specific word for a Christmas bonus though, that's very neat! Unfortunately I can't think of a good translation for that part of the joke!

"Chingada" and its many variations can be translated into almost anything, both good and bad depending of the context. So its pretty difficult to translate.

Whenever I think of Christmas bonus going away, I think of Christmas vacation movie and how it got replaced by Jelly of the Month Club.
