Worked through the week...
Artist report:
Point-animation for the fireplace.
Finished drinking-portrait for when the MC is drinking.
Also a curtain.
Point-animation for the curtain.
Defense pose for the MC.
Snape’s defense pose.
Finished polishing MC’s wand pose.
Made an animation for the hat falling down, finished Snape’s shield (now with green skulls), finished standing poses for the heroines (moved them a little bit, you can now see Susan’s leg) worked on MC standing next to the table.
Polished the classroom and started filling it with the miniatures of the pupils. Finished placing the MC, behind the front desk.
Made two new inventory items.
Me:
Connected URDD to the main game, for the moment in the test mode, some of it even works.
Spent 3 days on reworking the character-display system. Now pictures of multiple characters assemble into one, that way the game predicts that image and all the characters show up simultaneously without a delay, and that allows for certain interactions with them. That took me a day, but then Pareto principle came into play…
Plans for the following week:
Artist will focus on making new miniatures and new character. I will need to program the new elements in the office and other active elements in other locations and look through the first two acts finishing any unfinished interactions, replace placeholders with art, and check the overall feel of the updated acts.
Comment, what part of the development you want to learn about next week.
For this week’s poll.
If you had to choose the level of difficulty, which would you choose? ( Knowing that with the higher difficulty, you get access to more content)
- I don’t see a real reason for a game to have difficulty levels.
- The easiest one, one-hand playstyle.
- Medium, so that I get some of the additional content, but the gameplay isn’t too tough.
- The hardest one, if the additional content is worth it.
- I always go for the hardest one, regardless of the content.
- I play with cheats, and I don’t care for the work of game designers and coders.
