Hear me out: Third dose.

I'm going to use this post to take stock of the current factions in the Soloverse, since it kind of ties into the last post as well as what's being hinted at here. Obviously, the first and most well-established faction is Selina Kyle and her catgirls. Kyle's plot is pretty well-understood at this point: She has developed a mutagen that makes people turn into horny cats which she can then easily mind-control. One would assume the next step is probably global domination. Or maybe just a version of Feline Dion's transhumanist plot, the world will be a better place is everybody is cats... but I'm pretty sure it's option one, since Selina Kyle did not want to become catlike herself. The second faction is SHIELD (I think) involving Black Widow, Rogue, the Hulk, and formerly our Totally Spies girls, who are acting in opposition to Kyle. That's all we know about them. We don't know how Hulk is connected to Betty Ross either (though in earlier works we did see that Betty works for Kyle... don't know if that's changed because Chamber Made and CWFC6 seem to contradict each other in that regard. Unless CWFC6 is a prequel to the rest of the soloverse, which actually makes a lot of sense). The third group we can identify are the werewolves, which don't really seem to be united as a faction. Certain powerful werewolves like Lucinda gather a pack around themselves, but most seem to be content on their own or with their mates, though most seem to have some interest in spreading their infection. It's notable that Selina Kyle seems to see the werewolves as something of a threat to her plans, considering that she sent Mia after Patricia in Chasing Tails (though this might have more to do with the fact that Patricia was an employee of Kyle). Werewolves might be invested in protecting the environment, as Dr. Cooper likely turned Peaks in Developing Wilderness to prevent her from... developing the wilderness. Next are the demons. Established as existing within the Soloverse by A Friend in Need, we don't really know anything about them or what they do other than corrupt and infect people similarly to werewolves, though they also have the ability to make people into thralls. I think for now that's what we know. There is one obvious pick for who Kyle is eyeing as a mate for Sam: Black Widow. She was introduced at the beginning of the TW sequence and seems to be in command of SHIELD so converting her would probably be a big win for Kyle. But is she going to be an easy target?
