April lifted her trembling  hands and gasped as she turned them in the light. Her nails had shed any remaining layers of clear polish yet still shined with a natural gloss, and even in her tipsy haze, she could recognise they had grown unnaturally fast, and pointed. She was no longer just sporting an edgy, fashionable manicure, but rather a full set of claws, powerful and dangerous.

Something was seriously amiss.  Her uncharacteristic behavior, the strange taste in her mouth, the strange cravings, and now claws?
