Caveats: I'm pretty much figuring out the best format to get the right and useful to you guys, so may undergo edits/additions/subtractions along the way.  I may add more caveats.  Everything written here is a goal, not a promise.

This is definitely one of those times where it feels like I'm doing more problem solving and troubleshooting than artwork, but the time spent getting everything working right will surely pay off with the next few pages using the same setup.  Right? Riiiiight?

Right.  So far.  I managed to finish this one within a few days of the previous.

A few textures reared their heads after a few hours render time which made for a few false starts and a bit of adjusting, but nothing too major.

This one.  This one right here.   This one has definitely taken up more time than the rest combined by now.  Bald patches, blocky square patches, odd looking seams along the joints.  In short, a shitshow.

I think and I hope I've managed to create something that works eventually, but in doing so the render time has more than tripled.
