Eddie's life has fallen into shambles. Crushing debt forces his family West as the country descends into the Great Depression, but he finds work at a farm in California.  It's an earnest living until a man arrives promising a feast like no other.  John Butcher serves out meaty treats as the camp workers leave aside their troubled worries and embrace a primal nature of lust and hunger.

Hi all.  This is the HSA story that I mentioned a while back as starting off being too depressing.  You'll see a glimmer of that in the early part of the story, but hopefully it pulls back from there and steers more into dread.  I do like to warn people when HSA goes more gruesome than spooky/creepy and this one does, at least in the implied gruesomeness.  

This one and The Watches were both squatting on my brain as unfinished, so I'm glad to have corrected that. I've also got some other shorts that weren't on patreon that I hope to get out tomorrow morning.  In the meantime, Happy Reading!
