[Update] On Chyoa's recent issues and Oliver's story. (Patreon)

Hello everyone.

You may or may not have noticed there's some strange stuff happening over at the chyoa site right now. I might as well make something of a statement on it.

Reading the forums and some of the admin's statements, it seems to be some legal issues regarding stories of non-con and incest. The measures they've been taking recently seem to be hiding stories in certain categories (like incest and Mind Control, the latter of which includes Spirit of Lust), removing tags and filtering words. This means finding The Spirit of Lust and other stories in the Mind Control category could be impossible for some.

As far as I'm aware and from reading the forum, you can't find these stories if you're not logged into your account, and if your account is not a month old, you still can't see the stories.

I admit this is a little worrying, and it's making me think some stuff over. Of course, I hope things settle down soon over there, but I might have to finally start seeing if I can cross-post in literotica. I haven't done it yet because i'm not a huge fan of the site's layout, and the times I tried to cross-post The Affection Multiplier it got rejected for some reason. I suppose I'll have to get off my lazy ass and try to see if I can get Spirit of Lust in there.

There's also the topic of the future Incest tag that would be in the Oliver branch of Spirit of Lust. It's a delicate matter, and I'm unsure of what to do. On one hand, I've stated it as something that is eventually going to happen, so I'm sure there are people who are looking forward to it. It's like a promise of content to come, in a way. On the other hand... I worry it will affect what I can and can't do with that story. For example, if I decided to make it an e-book and try to sell it on Amazon, it'd get rejected because (as far as I know) they don't accept that stuff in there at all. Hell, depending on how things go in chyoa, it might even affect my ability to publish it there. Incest was a thing I sort of put into the story on a whim, back when I wasn't even planning on publishing it or even continuing it, so I'm not attatched to it, but like I said, it's a promise of future content and I take my promises seriously. One solution I've been thinking of is re-writing some of the story so that Oliver is adopted. The story, even over 200 chapters in, still doesn't have incest beyond some of Oliver's stray thoughts and I think a couple of dreams. It's still not a perfect solution, sadly. Doing that has the risk of changing the sub-text of many scenes, most of which relate to Isabelle.

Well, that's kind of where things are right now. Nothing here is set in stone, just ideas of what I could do. I hope you understand. I'd rather not get the story (or even the Patreon) deleted over a single tag.
