This week so far, I have been designing some enemy models and animating their base idle animations. A lot of the time I try to think of shapes and silhouettes that would look good to attack.
Additionally, thanks to the color-swapping shader I use for the player character customization, I can also do quick palette swaps of enemies as well to save time, though I would like to not abuse that very much as I think enemies should largely be more distinct in design.
I'm one to work as I go when it comes to designing things so rather than drawing out concepts I just make what comes to mind while finding reference and inspiration from other games I've played previously.
