A new demo is up for Patrons! Here's a rundown of all the changes since v0.11 -

  • Fixed weapon-switching on enable while swinging a melee weapon and shooting with the "SEEKR" gun.
  • Fixed 'Focus Mode' camera as it had some mouse and game-pad input issues on certain computers.
  • Fixed Hoverboard Switch on enable from getting stuck while jumping and turning at the same time.
  • Adjusted timestamp, optimized quality settings and locked FPS to 60 in application run-time.
  • Hoverboard Spin-Drifting has been entirely reworked and has overall better control.
  • Updated mesh weights on certain models.
  • Toned down and applied doppler for when the cars honk.
  • Added a dialog system with a Vox.
  • Added Citizens!
  • Balanced Pipchang's surface and hover movements.
  • A Main Menu has been added to the game, in which includes a Video Settings menu, Audio Settings menu and a primitive stage select screen.
  • Applied an ObjectPool method to re-occuring objects such as weapon bullets, which (hopefully) increases performance drastically.
  • Updated and polished "The Wick" weapon, curses now have a max limit and will disappear over time determining on weapon level.
  • Melee weapon charge effects are added!
  • Karma percentage is now displayed.
  • Target names are now displayed upon hitting them rather than killing them.
  • Clucky and Pipchang now have updated models and animations.
  • Suki Nipps now has an updated model and animations.
  • UI visual updates.
  • You can now receive damage and die.
  • Armor and health pickups are added.

CONTROL NOTES-

Since there isn't a proper tutorial section implemented in the game yet, here are some controls to note/keep in mind when playing this test demo:

1 & 2 rotates through your weapon inventory. 

Weapon switching is primitive and will be updated with a visual weaponswitch soon. A known bug is the unarmed/fists weapon which has not been developed yet.

J & K rotates your character. 

Since there is no character selection developed yet, these debug buttons will change your character. Keep in mind that changing your character mid-game will and is not intentional, and while holding a weapon, changing a character will confuse the game. There is no limit detection to this array either, so switching characters past the index will cause issues. TL;DR - be careful using these keys.

KNOWN BUGS -

The camera POV settings are mildly unstable. There will be a very small chance where the camera POV will jitter if triggered. This can be resolved by boosting speed to reset the POV effect.

Prevention from switching weapons using the melee weapon can be locked. This will be resolved shortly.

Screen resolution is set to an improper resolution when selecting fullscreen in the video settings. This will be resolved shortly. To fix and apply 1920x1080, press F2 to reset the game or relaunch the game.

Gamepad controls have not been updated in a while. There are several gamepad issues and will be resolved shortly.

While not a bug but could be considered one at a glance, the music channel was selectively chosen to be muted in this build.

Turrets have potential to be locked in behavior, and despite being behind walls, they will continue to shoot regardless.

Car behavior will stop and never reset it's behavior. This will be resolved.

The melee weapon charge effect will not reset/disappear if you die if left on. This will be resolved shortly.
