No worries! you can put the mod files anywhere that is convenient for you, I haven't written an autoload system yet. When you get to the start screen, just below the round start button, you'll see a big spinning button reminiscent of the Nexus game mod website logo. Click that, and follow the instructions. (it's quick and pretty straight-forward: use the file browser to select one or more mod files. click the add button so they appear in the load order list, and then click load :)
