im getting a lot of errors when trying to create a new character... is there a fix or bug im not aware of?

Yes, there's a fix. after opening the game, on the start page, instead of clicking the start button, click on the achievements icon. In that menu, at the bottom you'll see an option to reset your game stats. click that and it'll resolve the issue. :D

I'm sorry MrBigglesworthz, there was a bug that prevented the IUD and certain other items from being used properly.
