A major attraction for me to AW and your work is the custom clothes, make-up and hair. While T.I.T.S. has different hairstyles and outfits, it's not quite as detailed in comparison to the direction you are heading. I think I'm understanding some of the problems, and if I understand correctly a sacrifice in detail may be necessary. In terms of makeup, what if it is simplified so it's more about a theme? Taking Cateye or Evening and turning those into a make-up theme instead of a more individualized look. Most make-up tutorials will have a style, maybe it's to look more natural or have various layers so I find that "Normal" or "Slutty" styles are a matter of perception and not a degree of amount or style. Instead, maybe explore something like the current Hairstyle system with various Make-up themes, the combination of hair and make-up then determining an overall attribute; perhaps professional, clubby, first date, natural, etc.

That's basically how things work now. The issue with makeup isn't related to its detail, it was actually about the calculus (and statistics) needed to make deterministic predictions for totally automated decisions. When it comes to TiTS, I was more interested in the amount of user-submitted content rather than any specifics about gameplay in that game.
