It's time to name the digital currency used in the game!

The options are presented in this format:

Official Name; Plural :: Spoken/Colloquial Name; Plural

if only one name is listed, the colloquial name is the same as the official name.

How about Thex, or TauX as the unit of currency?

I like Thex, but that feels a bit grandiose for me :) I held a raffle for patrons who contributed for September, and let them pick some names. I also put in my choice, because one person passed on naming.

Tat Beard Dude

Aah, was not a patron in September so I missed out. But if having to go with any of these, def not credits... too many games/movies use that already.

Gonna be honest here, I expected way more creativity. Like, "credits"? Fuckin' really?! At least "linds" is unique.

Wait, what happened to dollars? If Dollars are no longer an option, credits seems like the second best choice. "Linds" sounds like something Linden Labs would add as currency to Second Life.

This was actually my first thought as well, the SL currency Linden. Dollars still exist, but are less frequently used by individuals. Appletree is pretty much cashless, with nearly all transactions being made with a quasi-crypto digital currency.

Hmm, if so "Credits"/"Creds" would make most sense. Some other suggestions off the top of my head: "Coins", "Bits" "Chips". If the currency is exclusive to the region, maybe they'd name it something apple related like "Seed". (Which also makes for a cute double entendre.)

I prefer credits, but think I should point out that there could be multiple colloquial names... i.e., bucks, big ones, smackeroos, bills, greenbacks... While with a blockchain based currency, you don't get names for specific units of currency that match popular pieces of currency (Benjamins for $100, 10-spot, G, Grand, two bits, etc.), there are nicknames for significant digits... i.e., 0.0000001BTC is a satoshi. What I'm getting at is, it's completely in character that nerdy NPCs would call credits "Imperial Credits" or "Space Bucks", and while I understand that adding multiple colloquial names _and making them consistent for that instances of an NPC_ is probably more trouble than it's worth, it would be a nice way to add depth. :D

Ai dude

I'd say just go with something+c, like 1,200c.
