Demo Release

I'll be posting a demo of the clothing style guide (pictured) shortly for $5+ patrons.

Aside from the style guide, I'm still working on the wardrobe system. I'll probably be switching it up for a little bit and work more on the story content after the player returns to Lily's place from Bullseye. It involves an awkward talk about being a woman, things you would have learned growing up, and a few variations of a scene ranging from chaste to some oral sex with Lily depending on the PC and conversation. (Also a tiny bit of customization related to your forged official documents.) I've been letting it percolate a little bit, and I'm excited to start getting it out of my head and into the game.

Returning the Favor

Aftermath Team was kind enough to post about Accidental Woman on their Patreon page, and since I like their game "The Allure of Wanton Cove", I figured I'd mention it here as well.

I've always been a big fan of the Lovecraft Mythos, and his style of suspenseful writing. Wanton Cove is a very different sort of game from Accidental Woman, but has a fun Lovecraftian vibe and a pretty neat original setting to explore, complete with (very sexual) 'unspeakable horror' and an interesting plot. If that sounds interesting, go check out their patreon page (link above) and give the game a try.

Family

I realized that I never really discussed my brother, and thought I'd take a moment to share a little more detail about what happened. At the time, I was a bit stressed out from crazy jet lag and trying to work on AW whenever i got the chance. Definitely wasn't getting enough sleep!

Tim in the hospital during recovery, censored because he'd probably be pissed otherwise, this being a porn game page and all...

He was riding his 4-wheeler with his wife on the back, heading home from the creek. They were driving on a wide asphalt-paved bike/recreational path at about 20 or 25 mph. Unknown to them, water from the creek had leaked into the power steering system electronics, which caused it to short out. This isn't supposed to happen, apparently there's been some controversy about the manufacturer not having a recall despite being a known issue with several injuries so far. The short caused the wheels to jerk all the way to the left, sending them off the path and down a steep 20ft drop to the treeline. What happened next is a little bit unclear, but with the wheels stuck turned the quad started to roll and threw both of them off. My sister-in-law thankfully escaped with some bruises, but Tim flew head-first into a tree trunk.

You all know what happened next, being airlifted from the regional hospital to the trauma center at GRMC in Columbus, followed by brain surgery to stop the hemorrhaging. His recovery has continued to be astounding, he's doing so much better than the best I had hoped for when it all happened.

Safety! I suppose this is a good chance to say "wear a helmet". We both have always worn helmets anytime we ride a motorcycle, plus pads for a dirtbike, but for some reason we never did with ATVs. Maybe because they have 4 wheels, and it seems less likely to hit your head, I'm not sure. Nobody did though. We've been riding them since we were kids, and somehow it just seemed normal. I suppose it's pretty easy for something dangerous to become "normal" if you do it long enough without consequences. So that's the theme of this safety message; take a minute to think about the activities in your own life, in case there's anything dangerous that seems "normal" just because you've been doing it so long.

I wish your brother a quick and complete recovery. I wish everyone luck and best wishes moving forward from this family tragedy. Thank you for the shout out! I was very excited to learn that you enjoy my work!

Remember lads! A good helmet is the difference between a good day and a bad day!

Yeah, ATVs have a sort of weird false sense of security to them. They always seem perfectly stable... right up until they don't. Anyhow, glad to hear your brother's still progressing well!

NSFYM

Glad your brothers recovering well, that's scary
