Meet the band - The artists of Tainted Mythirl (Patreon)

Tainted Mytrhil (tein·tuhd mith·ril ) is a Greyhawk folk metal band. Their lyrics are heavily influenced by Feywild folklore and Underdark mythology, and their music incorporates several traditional Medival musical instruments. The name of the band "Tainted Mythirl" refers to the corrupted metal the band uses in all their instruments.

Their singer a, Skadi "Bardbarian" Sigríður, is one of the relatively few successful female vocalists to sing in a death growl style. Her pet/familiar Squelcher the Mimic amp assists with the band's unique sound and distortion of Skadi's vocals. Skadi was asked to start the band by Silv Cloudharper after Silv heard her battle cry in a tavern brawl.

Silv Cloudharper is the bands songwriter, back-up vocals, and instrumentalist and is the only pure bard of the group. She keeps a variety of instruments in her bag-of0holding which she freely switches between. Silv, is featured playing, violin, harp, bagpipes, the hurdy-gurdy, and flute just to name a few, but is skilled with just about any instrument she comes across. Silv and Skadi were originally a duo band called Twin Goddess before forming Tainted Mythirl with the addition of Knox Blastwagon.

The bassist and pyrotechnics officer, Knox Blastwagon, is in charge of all the visuals and effects for each show. Knox is often noticed playing her right-handed bass left-handed, which she insists adds to the grungy sound that makes her playstyle unique to Greyhawk. Knox typically crowd surfs and jumps from tables and chairs during their shows.

 Alistair Shadowgaunt is the newest member of the band and boyfriend of bassist Knox Blastwagon. Not much is known about his musical background, but his addition to the band has brought many new female fans to the show. Known by fans simply as the pretty one, Alistair has only ever been seen playing simple power chord progressions. "He is getting better! I think?" -  Silv Cloudharper  

"Styx"  Malemarir is the band's drummer and scribe. Despite his large and intimidating stature, Styx is an accomplished wizard. He uses magic to inscribe the band's songs to thaumaturgic spell scrolls that are sold at all the band's shows. Known for his dual-magehand style of play Styx plays his double drum solo by himself. A young half-dragon, known simply as Baby-D is seen following Styx at all times and will assist with percussion on his triangle.

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this little bit of lore as much as I have had writing it. A lot of this was thought up just having fun on the discord channel.
