Here's the remade battle with the dragon, during the tutorial level.
I wasn't at my best there 😩, took a couple hits I could have avoided but it does show some of the changes that most enemies are undergoing.
- No damage-on-contact but attack animations for basic enemies too
- Enemies can take 🐚 defensive stances to decrease the damage taken, it becomes important to time hits and to 🎯 attack from a distance the ones that tend to raise their shields when approached
- No more enemies stuck (on other enemies/walls/the player) and unable to move, you can see in the video the dragon immediately freeds herself when kobold jumps right over her
- Every enemy can now have different attack patterns / timings. In the last days I've worked on bats, mimics, hermits (from Finhead area) and Dragon Princess: they all behave differently!
I hope you're pumped for January, I'll see to have Finhead and even more enemies with the new Battle System by then!
