I wanted to share some brief thoughts on the lead up, auction itself and post-auction process.

Lacking confidence

I think the worst thing about working on larger projects isn't the challenge but instead the nagging negative fear of 'failure' prodding at the back of your skull the entire time. This was me leading up to posting the YCH and why it took me quite a long time going from concept to actually posting it.

Particularly troublesome when it's your job and your income is on the line too. :DD

A sole traders nightmare

It took me 3 whole days to contact folks, gather details and organise payments.

Also, just gonna say logging 20 payments for tax purposes (particularly when I take payment in a currency not the same as my country of residence )is a nightmare and I really need to work on my organisational skills if I want to do anything like this again. 😩

anyway HERES A WIP 

Gummy Tula

Inspired by a certain gummy crocodile from The Amazing Digital Circus I decided to gummi-fy Tula, because she's gummy coded being so brightly coloured and soft.

the 2 minute sketch that started it

I went back to using my usual process for painting which is just slapping colours on a canvas and hoping it sticks.

 And the final version. I need to remember to just sit down and paint things for fun because I got a lot of enjoyment out of this one. I also feel like my painting skills have gotten a fair bit better which is nice to see - even though I now see a bunch of errors looking back on this a week later. >:(

Bedded chee

 I'm still working on this one in the background. When (if) I finish this one, I may seriously investigate getting a test print of it on a pillow case to see how it looks, even if to just have something physical of my own art.

And you know if people really want one, maybe I'll sell the chee pillows too?? 😇
