Saturday night. When coming home from visiting my family, me and my girl got involved into helping with road accident. Pedestrian got hit by car. We didn't see it. Just saw two cars stopped on the road, emergency lights blinking. When passing we also noticed a bloodied person near the car. I stopped the car and we rushed to help. My girl started first aid and CPR (her mum is a nurse and used to train in first aid) and I called police and ambulance (bit of problem on road which doesn't have name). The guy who hit the person was in shock along with the people from second car that was behind and saw the accident. Sadly the victim was bleeding from ears (spinal fluid) and belly was caved in (internal organs damaged). Help arrived quickly but they couldn't save him after long CPR. My girlfriend had a nervous breakdown for some short time. She managed to restart victim's heart for short time before ambulance and still the person died. The road was no-go for pedestrians, it was night time. We were in shock. It was a first time we were involved in this and first time to witness someone die.

I am sorry to hear and it is an experience you wish to nobody. But you did everything right and your girlfriend even bringing back the injured person to life for some time. You did everything what you could do. Nobody could expect more and you did more than most people would have done. Sadly it was not supposed to end well as injuries were fatal.
