I think I can use this place to share some of my ideas for games (even if maybe some of them won't see the light of the day), so I can keep record of all of them while gather feedback.

TMNT TOURNAMENT FIGHTERS 2

When I was younger, I had a Mega Drive/Genesis and I rememeber of playing that game a lot, even if it's far from perfect, but I always liked it somehow (also, kudos to Konami to make 3 different games, for 3 different consoles, at the same time), because I liked that cartoon a lot.

From the 3 versions, the Mega Drive one is the most forgot version from Mugen convertions - There is an amazing NES version out there, Kamekaze is making a pretty cool SNES version (an crossover against Justice League) and the Genesis version got a pretty old version by PiouPiou, ages ago.

Due to some changes in Mugen core code, the content from that era doesn't runs anymore on newer version, so nobody can play with it. That version was amazing, even recreating the original select screen

As a coder, I never liked straight conversion and I always thought that fan games needs to bring something more to the table rather than just recreating the original game.

So, what would be my idea?

To recreate and expand it - with more characters, more stages, new effects and a new gameplay - obviously, with some influences from Marvel vs Capcom. Yeah, I am addicted to it :)

Roster

All characters from the Genesis version (including the secret ones) - 11

April, Casey Jones, Donatello, Karai, Krang, Leo, Mike, Raph, Don, Ray, Sisyphus and Triceratops.

Some characters from the SNES version (I need to make some tests to see if I can make them to blend): 7 characters

Shredder, Chomedome, Rat King, Wingnut, War, Asuka, Armaggon

EXTRA CHARACTERS (mostly non playable versions)

Baxter, Roadkill, Cement Man

What do you guys think?

Sounds good to me

Thanks. I really like this idea, but it would take a lot of time to do, specially alone :(

If it's something you're motivated to do and aren't to swamped doing other work. It could be something you slowly work on over 5-10 years.
