Sharing a game idea (Patreon)

After talking with a friend, when I was updating the Robot Master Mayhem project, he shared an idea that I liked very much: A Mega Man vs Street Fighter game, after I mentioned I wanted to make a MVC styled game using our new template for the RMM project.

I am just sharing ideas here, because I have too much on my plate for now. But this could be a very cool idea.

What would be my plans?

- To use our new RMM template as a base. See it in action here

 - All the Mega Man characters would come from the RMM project

- The "weapon change" ability of the said characters would be locked (Only Mega Man would use it)

- I wanna something short, like 8 characters from each side.

- I would like to add a MVC1 styled striker - but each characters woul have a fixed striker from the same series, with a counter like in MVC1. 

What do you guys think about the idea? Since I will be coding this alone, I wanna make something easy for me to keep. 

 Now, the biggest question: Who would be the 8 characters from each franchise?
Give me your suggestions.

 I remember I had some sheets saved somewhere and I found them - I have full sheets for Joe (SF1), Ryu (SF1 version, with red shoes) and Retsu (SF1, but with less moves).

Joe's sprites are pretty cool and I think he could return on this game, because its kinda unspected! Retsu would be his striker.

I moved both Seth and Bison to bosses, so we would fight a Sub Boss and a Boss from each franchise.
