Hey y'all,

I visited the doctor today and got scoped--that's where they shove this long tube down your nose/throat with a camera to check out your vocal cords. My doc had good news and bad news for me.

So the great news is, there doesn't appear to be any permanent damage like nodules or scarring. My vocal cords are swollen, doc described it "like you've been screaming" but before I came in, I hadn't talked at all for several hours, so that's super not great. 😅 BUT he reassured me it's not permanent. Doc compared it to getting a sprained ankle, but in my throat. (Ew! :D)

The bad news is, I've been advised under no uncertain terms to slow down and use my voice less. Doc referred me to a speech language therapist who's going to help me to speak in a healthier way to avoid further damage, which could lead to more permanent vocal issues.

I can talk as of the past few days, and it sounds pretty normal, but then after about 10-15 minutes my voice will drop off to nothing or get super hoarse, so I try to keep my speaking to very short bursts.

I still want to post, but it probably will be significantly less for some time. My current wish is to continue to post to both Reddit and Patreon regularly, just less to avoid straining my voice again while I'm healing.

For the moment, I am closed to new customs orders. The wait would be too ridiculously long right now for me to justify. If you have a queued order right now (meaning you have already paid and are currently waiting for delivery), please be on the lookout for communication from me in the next few days about what you and I will do next.

Y'all have been absolutely amazing and encouraging and kind, and I appreciate you more than I can possibly communicate. My voice is my whole livelihood and going through this weird period of not being able to use it or control it properly has been incredibly stressful, but you guys have made it so much less so.

I'm going to do some brainstorming tonight and get back to you soon about what's next. Thank you so much for being patient and supportive. I truly appreciate you so much.

Love, Blue 💙💋
