Hey patrons, I hope the turning of the seasons is treating you well. If you haven't yet, I highly recommend going out and seeing the aspen trees change colors ??

It's been a hot second since I dropped a little news update here, but that's just because there hasn't been much to update! Drawing is good, commissions are good, the comic's good, and I hope y'all have been enjoying the extras I've been posting up as of late. It's been an absolute blast getting to watch folks react to Lewis & Junip's shenanigans! And I may as well take this as an opportunity (as I usually do) to ask y'all drop in any suggestions for improvement you may have! I have a suggestion box in my Discord server, or you're always welcome to PM me.

I'm mostly here to let everyone know that I'll be taking the next two weeks off from work! This is the first real vacation I've had since starting up freelancing with furry artwork 2 and a half years ago. I'm going to be visiting some lovely folks up in Seattle, seeing the sights, resting, recuperating, taking it easy, etc. It's sorely needed. So far this month I've published two comic pages & an illustration, so I hope that will suffice for the month! Either way, I'll be returning back home at the beginning of October, and easing back into work with a couple of new comic pages.

Also!! Hey!! It's been two years since I launched this Patreon!! I don't have too much fanfare prepared to celebrate, but I at least wanted to take the occasion as opportunity to thank you folks so, so, SO much for the support you've given me over the years. I seriously could not be happier with the momentum the comic has, the community we've built up in the Discord server, and the time this platform has given me to explore new techniques, new subjects, and myself through my art. Here's to many more years. ??

And! That brings me to an interesting topic. When I re-evaluated my goals with this Patreon a year back, I set what felt like a lofty goal of 300 patrons before I would reconsider how much attention I'd start diverting to this platform. And, a year later, here we are, with 300+ patrons (WOW!!!). For the very first time in my artistic career, between Patreon, sketchstreams, YCH auctions, and extras over on Etsy, I feel as though taking a break from my regular commission queue could actually be financially feasible. Being upfront, this is likely something I'd want to keep temporary, as commissions are my lifeblood, financially and emotionally speaking. But taking that break means I could hone in on the projects I've started on this Patreon, finish my comic (and start a new one?? (eyebrow waggle)), explore my own art even deeper, and whatever else I can think up to beef up the flow of content here. Y'all are always deserving of more and I'm eager to make this move.

At the moment, my current commission queue will likely last me well into November, and since the holidays are directly afterward, it'd probably bode well to wait until after Further Confusion 2020 (which I am most certainly attending, tabling, and DJ'ing at) to take this break proper.

But, that's all for now! Let me know what you think or if you have any questions/concerns! I'll be on vacation until the end of the month, but I'll try to check in every so often so I don't leave anyone hanging.

Have a fantastic autumn, y'all. Thanks again ??

-Willow
