Cadmium48 had been dreaming of it through most of winter. There, just next to the herb garden he started up last spring, a massive Japanese maple tree, with its spectacularly colored leaves casting a comfortable shade over his back yard. It would be a few years before it grew to a size suitable for lounging underneath, but watching it grow is half the pleasure of gardening (the other half is dressing really, really skimpy while you do so. Gotta give those neighbors a show)!
