Mysteriously transported to a digital world...it's up to you to save the digital dimension that is Digimon World for Gameboy!

Thinking about it...perhaps I really should have included a bunch of the other screenshots to make this an eight screen demake? But then the counterpoint truly is there's much more for you to experience in the ROM for yourself!

One part of the research for this demake was of course playing a chunk of the game (still never going to actually beat it, I did want to release this demake this year (or heck, decade) haha) and then the main chunk was watching about 40 or so eps of the anime (dubbed, then rewatching the episodes subbed because it's fun to see the differences).

Did it help the overall demake, who can say, but it's a nice trip down memory lane isn't it?

Oh and patrons who chose Digimon to get sprites can find them to the left of lower File City and hope I did them justice. 😉

a franchise well worth the extra research! always amazed by how you distill these games down to their essences without losing what makes them unique, and I'm glad you took a more maximilist approach here to squeeze in as much nostalgia as possible. If this had actually come out around the Pokemon RGB era I believe the Mon Wars may have turned out quite differently!

I joke it didn't overall help the demake but it actually did make me go with the anime version of Agumon (I did study a lot of the card art/concept art and it's funny how in comparison to Pokemons concept art being very light, watercolorery, Digimons is the POLAR opposite, stark and dark and more gritty) Also that is high praise! Hope you check out the ROM!
