Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale (Patreon)

Ahh it's been quite a while since I did a demake of a fighting game! I think the last one I did was...Cartoon Network Grand TOONament? Hoo boy that was quite some time ago and that was just a fun what if game, this is a proper demake!

But what is Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale, except for being a tie in to the anime and manga series? Well, it was a game I had growing up, on my chipped PS1 and I believe I had the Japanese version and understood nothing, but I had fun and really isn't that the magic of some games, where no matter what the language if its purely mechanical, you're golden.

And what a golden team who made it, Dimps! Founded by the creator of the arcade Kung Fu and cocreator of the original Street Fighter I was amazed/elated to know they're still around and were actually behind Dragonball Advance, the DBZ Budokai fighting games, and most of the Sonic the Hedgehog portable games! (Praise Dimps for Right There, Ride on!)

This demake was also a kind of retribution for the Sailor Moon mockup from years back where I just couldn't nail the chibi/SD anime style and I'm pretty confident in how these sprites turned out. Does make me want to go back to that Sailor Moon Sailor Scout Bout concept from way way back, but also want to strive on forward.
