Ah Psychonauts. My second demake that has the schaffery touch, of Tim Schaffer. Not to mention the entire Double Fine team as it was the first game from them and what a game to start off with!

Turning a 3D platformer into a 2D one is usually straight forward, some say removing that Z axis is just light surgery, you don't even need anaesthetic! As such Psychonauts followed this rule of thumb and was a real joy to cram down to GB form (outside perhaps one element I go into more detail in the RAW sprite sheet haha...hint, it was Raz's sprite)

For getting into the mindset I replayed the entire game to get in the mood, along with playing and nearly 100%ing Psychonauts 2! It's something I try to do when I do a demake but with the amount of time it adds, may have to pick and choose to do this from now on!

I might be tooting my own horn a smidge, but more so I think I have to toot Scott Campbell's horn. His character designs translate so well to pixel form. (With again, my troubles with Raz pushed aside!).

With infinite time, would have loved to include more scenes, Black Velvetopia for one, Waterloo World, and of course Gloria's Theatre but I'm happy with the ones I did include.

I'm so glad! I was so happy to make the lungfish residents readable at that size :D.
