I think the thing is with discord too besides the fact that he is slowly getting better is that I do truly believe he does try to be a good friend sometimes in his own chaotic way. Similar to s4 premiere where he didnt tell about the vines because he was trying to teach twilight a lesson on being princesses. How in the s4 finale he gave hints about opening the chest that eventually defeated tirek. Here he was trying to give her a lesson on jealousy but he obviously at the same time is still a trickster who enjoys being a troll.

Tbh I get your feelings about Discord! It's been a long time since I watched the series, but thus far I'm still not all too impressed with his 'redemption' arc. Even taking his whole betrayal aside, so far he's continued to be manipulative, two-faced, and just a bad friend all around tbh. Which, honestly; I think that it could work for his character if he just stayed like that. Discord feels like the true embodiment of Chaotic Neutral, and I see him being chaotic in ways that benefit him, with no drive to be evil nor good. And I think he'd work really well as that type of character! But the show definitely does not do that with him, instead it portrays him as a character who is redeemed/in the process of being redeemed, and will often paint his misdeads as small mistakes instead of the patterns of bad behavior that they are. I actually really like his character in general, I just tend to not like when the episode paints him out to be "just a cheeky good guy", even after he's done something wrong. I'd like to say that we see him learn his lessons after each episode, but every episode with him is just bringing up another problem (usually the exact same issue), which makes me feel like the lesson he learned previously was disingenuous. That all being said he's an absolute icon, I just want him six feet away from the mane six <3 (but also I might change my opinion after watching the later seasons, since I don't remember if his episodes from then let him get a lot better)

It's like a dream. There's no logical reason a lot of the things in dreams should be scary, sad, happy, or whatever emotions they bring out while you're having them. Moments like these are created by the individual moods of everyone present, random circumstance, and, quite frankly, everyone seeing what's going on slightly differently. They can't be recreated without resetting every last detail, including the memories of everyone involved so it's all happening for the first moment This is a great "live life in the moment" episode Also, really great moment for the Princess of Friendship, Element of Magic, Celestia's Star Pupil: "They would never laugh like that unless something magical was involved" Somepony forgot that friendship is magic, literally, in their world Of course magic is involved Also, Rarity's reaction when Twilight comes in to break the spell is priceless Like "bruh, I have work to do, this is a week day. I own two boutiques, and you woke me up early, interrupting my beauty sleep, to, not only keep me from my work for "fun" but you want me to drink some mystery fluid to break an imaginary spell. I literally don't have time for this. I *do* have time to have fun with my friends, but you're killing it"

Hey bro, he got his karma when he got betrayed right back, and that along with everything else set him straight for good! And like I said before, it had to happen for his character growth. Otherwise we fans would be more salty and untrusting than we already are at his current chaotic-good/neutral shenanigans. (Edit: maybe go back and read the comments on Twilight's Kingdom again when you can? Good insights, and not just from mine. 😅)
