I love this episode because it really hammers in how Rarity is a true artist, and refuses to 'sell out' making the same thing over and over just because its popular. Also, once she tells Sassy Saddles outright what she's doing to run all these stores she's managed into the ground, Sassy actually steps back and does things Rarity's way, and she goes on to manage the Canterlot store for the rest of the series. To answer your question, I absolutely would've let it continue, partly because I'm autistic and repetitive tasks like making the same dress over and over are very calming for me. xD I would've thrived in that situation! Not having to meet customers? Just sit in the back making things on my own? Perfect! If only I could design and make dresses IRL. xD

Where would I have cut Sassy off...Honestly, I would have let it slide that she opened the door and welcomed the customers. When she said the dress's name was too hard to explain in front of the customers (as opposed to in private or before the event), she would have been on my "Be careful around this person" list. The moment she interrupted Rarity and said, "I, Sassy Saddles", I would have not let her finish that sentence. I would have ran right in front of her to stop her from going up the stairs, looked around and apologized to the customers for my interruption as I assume some might be startled by me running, and I would have asked Sally to go to the back of the boutique and wait there until the event was over. After the event, there would have been a talk with her where I would decide whether to fire her or not. A coworker, whether above, below, or at the same level in that workplace's hierarchy, needs to be able to communicate effectively, and she showed no interest in that, plus having people interrupt and dismiss me is one of those few things that can get me from 0 to absolute rage.

By the way, about that large pony at the end of the episode, she has no canon name, but she's referred to as Woah Nelly. Go back and look at her cutie mark. It's literally a picture of herself among stars. The animation staff referred to her as the "love yourself" pony, and I think that's awesome.

Ooh This one I feel like now is a good time to bring up how Rarity is the loneliest of the mane 6 She just doesn't really have friends outside of the mane 6. Well, she has Spike She has it memorized to the minute when the mailpony comes for heavens sake! So, when you think about it, Sassy Saddles is pretty much the first friend she's got in awhile who she can actually hang out with on a regular basis. I'd have a hard time telling Sassy her place as well if I were in Rarity's position

Kazumi Evans once again showing her amazing singing voice. While I do like most of the MLP-songs, the ones for Rarity/Luna will always be amongst my favorites.

Kinda surprising to me that I love this episode as much as I do. Probably the song and how it ties the ep together. Indeed it's gorgeous and a beautiful testament to Rarity's passion and growth. 😚 (*chef kiss*)

I probably would've stopped her after the first 100 orders. Run me my money! Could've advertised it as a one time only deal or something. I like that they included a pony who wasn't okay with the changes in the dress, not only is that a poor business practise to not give someone what they ordered, but you're right- people don't care. And mere shrugs at creativity and "okays" at mediocracy is disheartening for any artist, but it can also make it the more satisfying when someone does appreciate the creativity, beauty and care that does go into that work. And I can feel the "good vibes" from you, and what you said about everyone caring to create a unified whole (or something to that effect) was touching and I feel it's a great force when yielded effectively.

I get why you thought Rarity should've got her friends' help, but I'm glad you got the point of the episode. That Rarity needed to learn that she cannot make herself miserable while she works. She cannot make the same dress over and over. That isn't what she loves. Not what what she does is about. I love the song in this episode. I would've cut it off at about 50.
