I LOVE THIS EPISODE It fleshes out even more Discord and Fluttershy's relationship... It gives us a really fun and interesting character such as Tree Hugger. it introduces the Smooze into the Friendship is Magic world (the Smooze was originally a villain in the first generation of My Little Pony back in the 80's) We come back to the Grand Galloping Gala since the Season 1 Finale And we even get a Little bit of characterization for Celestia at the end of the episode (every bit counts xdd).

Sharing Heart

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your reaction to this episode, but if I'm honest, I very much hate this episode quite deeply, and I never use the word "hate" lightly. The things that the kept trying to pass off as comedy weren't just not funny to me, but it upset me that they tried to pass them off as comedy. To give some examples: Discord having Pinkie waste all that effort and materials boxing those cakes; the mail pony having been lost for days being thrown in a random direction which meant him getting even more lost; Maud telling Discord that he was a basic joke (not that his performance was a joke, but that he himself was a joke). I never saw this episode again after I forced myself the first time, but getting your point of view on the whole thing was very refreshing, and again, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is what's great about being able to share things like this with others. New points of view are always fascinating to me, especially when they don't align with my own. Keep doing what you are doing.

I always imagined Rarity's embarrassment at getting her dress disappeared as not so much being embarrassed by being naked, but being embarrassed by being at a black-tie dinner and being in a white T-shirt and yoga pants.

(Pssst! 😎 Hey bro, Rarity's odd mannerism does make sense here. This is a high-class event in Canterlot, and Rarity's a high-class Pony at heart. Some Ponies do have their standards.)
