You know, funny thing about Rarity, even at the very beginning she didn't exactly act like most of the snobbish upper-class, as you would have seen while she gave of her talents, time, and attention, to the Town Hall for the Summer Sun Celebration, and also to Twilight by fixing her up and giving her a new outfit. Showing off her generous and caring (if a little unobservant to Twilight's feelings on the matter) spirit and role as an Element of Harmony. 😏

Rarity aspires to being noble, like high society and etc. but the problem is that she aspires to the ideal of nobilty and not the reality. We can see the reality of nobility and just how stuck-up these people really are in Sweet and Elite episode and also with Blueblood.
