One of my favorite episodes for Rainbow Dash. I love it so much! I love Rainbow Dash. She is my favorite of the Mane 6! I love that Rainbow Dash showed that she would give up her life long dream if she disagreed with how to go about achieving said dream (Idk how to put into words what I mean but you get it). And Lightning Dust deserved to get kicked out. The ending of this episode is just so goooood!

one of my favorite Rainbow Dash episodes, despite her being by far my least favorite of the Mane 6... i must admit that when the show decides to portray her integrity and strong sense of honor i just can't help but get chills. she was willing to sacrifice her biggest dream for the safety of her friends, that takes a lot of guts, and that little scene after she left Spitfire's office where she gets that look of realization of what she just did... it's so powerful. also... Bulk Biceps (the big and buff white pegasus) did another cameo in this episode, always awesome to see him cause he's simply hilarious.

Competition with positive reinforcement tends to show the best results. There was a study done by the air force academy on this that found positive reinforcements for doing well gave better averages than punishments/degradation for doing poorly. The general conclusion to this is if you encourage people, they constantly try to do better no matter where they are in the pack. If you just tear people down for not being good enough, people strive to not be the worst and then stop pushing, so you wind up with whoever is competing for 1st and way below them everybody else just content to not be last.
