This is a BIG episode for Scoots. I get being afraid of something you hear about. The big thing about this episode is the "Take her under her wing" thing. That's so big and good for Scoots and she needed someone like that in her life.

Sharing Heart

In my personal experience (and thus I don't know if this applies to everyone), if I wait until I'm "ready" to face my fears, I'll end up never facing them. Fears are just something that I've never felt ready for, because, well, I've been afraid. Every single time I've had something I've felt as afraid of as Scootaloo in this episode, it has been a matter of just making myself face it. I haven't had a single nightmare ever since I adopted that philosophy many years ago...Except when I dream that I'm back in school and don't know where my classes are. No idea where that one comes from.

Thine Tiny Equine

I loved this episode, and it fed the theory that Scoots here is an orphan. No spoilers whether that is true, but you can definitely tell that Scoots lacks interpersonal relationships. Most shows will just make characters with this trait and give no reason. The reason for that theory is that there are only two or three pegasi adults in the entirety of Ponyville. Dash, Shy, and the Thunderlane family, who all have grey and white coats. She's a harsh outlier.
