Well she was bullied for her blank flank. She came to visit Ponyville then saw her cousin and her friends getting bullied for the same reason. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were gonna start teasing Babs too. So Babs, scared to be teased again decided to become a bully too. So she could be safe from being teased while in Ponyville. She learns her lesson in the end. And I don't condone bullying because you were bullied. But, I understand WHY Babs became a bully to the CMCs. She was trying to not be bullied. If that makes sense.

bullies are not monsters. bullies are just ppl who doesnt wanna get bullied themselves and feel strong. i have been bullied before but i also have turned into a bully at one point in my life. and i definitely feel super bad for it but i also totally get why it happened. even diamond tiara and her friend arent monsters. at least diamond tiara is the way she is because of the way she is raised

I think the idea was more about the bully chain. Babs was bullied and therefore chose to be a bully herself. The CMC were bullied and chose to be a bully themselves. In both cases all they had to do was talk about it and everything would have been resolved. So, I feel like it's more a lesson to bullies and those being bullied. Sometimes the show does sort of have an odd way of portraying situations and even breaking character in order to deliver a message. Usually, it works but there are about 1 or 2 times where it falls flat.
