Thine Tiny Equine

Each season of MLP's intro changes ever so slightly to reflect Twilight's growth so you're right that there are alterations made to the song, but the visuals and much more change as we go on. As Twilight grows, the show grows, and in a way that's beautiful. I'm so glad you noticed this first one, because a lot of us missed it when everything first aired.

Sharing Heart

This is a great example of the show not talking down to children. The lesson of not blowing things out of proportion is often pushed on children, but this episode flipped that and decided to also teach that you should take other people's worries seriously even when you can't relate to them. It's a lesson tons of adults haven't learned yet, and it's even one that a lot bronies seem to not remember that this episode teaches despite it being spelled out at the end.
