Hey Hoomans quick poll: Thinking about tinkering with the format for show reactions to make them better. As many of you know Typically we tend to pause the show and give my impromptu thoughts and then continue. I've had a couple of comments on This basically saying that sometimes the video will become out of sync diminishing the viewer experience.

Then I had an idea,  what if I just make my comments on the side while the videos going short comments but comments nonetheless and then I have a thoughtful wrap up towards the end of the video.

Another idea that was suggested  was to continue to have the pauses in between and then add a timestamp for people to be able to get out of sync. Then proceed to have your additional commentary towards the end of the video. let me know which one you guys like better and I will slowly start to Incorporate it across all shows.

One of the reasons I enjoy the pauses is the bits of commentary on small things that just happened. Hearing stories that throwaway lines reminded you of can make me smile, and it might feel weird to bring it up at the end of the episode, especially if there was some big emotional plot twist overshadowing the mid-episode jokes

Exactly, and there's the possibility that the twist might be so soul-shattering that you might not want or feel like sharing that insight or anecdote with us. So by all means continue to pause to share those things with us, because you don't know when "later" might be downgraded to "never".

Besides enjoying your thoughts mid-video, and the fact that it rarely causes a desynch issue since you guys are great at giving a warning when a pause is coming, let's be realistic. If you leave your thoughtful comments for the end of the video, people are very likely to just click away to watch something else as soon as the episode is over and miss your commentary.

Thank you for (i think) using my recommendation~ I agree with what everyone's saying down here in the comments. As stated, I've seen various reactors do things both ways. The main culprits im comparing to are Dukaja (for pauses mid video to discuss) and Flamingshark/SOSBros (both do commentary after episodes, though shark's is a bit more nuanced, but I'll get into that in a bit) I think if you had theories to share and discuss after the episode, and it could take up to a half hour, or maybe since you're only bouncing off the comments, 15 minutes, of interesting discussion, like the SOSBros do. Or if you did batch recordings of like 3 or 4 episodes a pop like Shark and talked after each one. Then maybe discussion after the video would work better. But like Duk, if you pause and discuss and dissect mid episode, it gives more audience involvement. It keeps you from missing important lines of dialogue (even though, in your case with anime, you watch the dub so will hear the lines not have to read the story) and keeps us engaged since you can theorize off the immediate response and reaction then continue. However, I wouldnt fully disregard the notetaking, as you may be able to reference those notes for future episodes to see how close your theories were, interesting things that felt off and how those played in the future, easier to remember names, and stuff like that
