so glad you liked it! Sepultura, being based out if Brazil, wanted to incorporate a tribal sound to their death metal. the first attempt was in the album “Chaos A.D.”, which became their first international success. After which they leaned into the tribal style, and seeking greater authenticity they sought out help from local tribes in the area, resulting in the iconic and very influential sound of this song, and their most successful album “Roots”.
