RWBY Chapter 8 Episode 12 Creation:

Also, Ironwood got his ass kicked!  like badly. Although it was not a fair fight whatsoever but Jesus 😂.  It was super cool to see the staff guy whose name is slipping me at the moment. It was also really moving when I harken back to the last episode when Ruby said to Penny that this is a part of you but it doesn't Define you something like that. Then to see the virus version of her side by side with the new and improved version of her was quite powerful

This was something I waited for in a long time since Emerald's backstory. For her to do the right thing and show what a bad*ss she is made me so happy!

One of my favorite parts about that first scene is how well Penny's voice actress imitated Emerald's manner of speaking with the "I have," line before dropping the illusion.

In my newest list of things that are easy to miss: When Emerald/Penny shows up there is a slight verbal giveaway, she says "I DON'T want anyone else to die." The thin is Penny (actual Penny) never uses "don't" as a contraction and always uses "do not." So yeah a minor verbal flub but one that Ironwood doesn't notice because he's never cared enough to learn about Penny. Seperate thing I like to point out; in the real girl transformation there is a slight hint as to what is happening ***though the writers have never stated the exact method Ambrosius used so there is speculation here*** when Ambrosius says "...how much of it would be my work and how much of it would be her, just coming up to the surface." So yeah he can only sustain one creation at a time and Penny needs a body for her soul to inhabit ("coming up to the surface") so he created a way for her soul to manifest a body when the robot parts were removed. Then, because he didn't create her body (she manifested it herself) it doesn't disappear when he creates the next thing (and you can see the robot body disappear when the portal system gets created) which leaves us with flesh and blood Penny who has manifested her own body. So yeah Penny is a flesh and blood real girl.

Another way to interpret it (and the way MurderofBirds explained it if I remember) : Ambrosius has for a rule that it cannot destroy something while creating. But if he only used the mechanical parts of Penny to build another identical Penny (without the soul), the soul would be left without a vessel and would be destroyed. So to uphold his own rule, he had to make a byproduct to contain the soul - which is Penny's new body. It's up to anyone do decide whether they prefer to say a soul in Remnant is strong enough to recreate a body, or if it was entierely Ambrosius' work.

LETS GOOOOOOO, FINAL TWO EPISODES NEXT - i hope we get them back to back. As mentioned - Yes, Penny is a real girl finally! Her real body was created as a byproduct of their request (because Ambrosius cannot destroy) so he had to make a new body to contain her soul. PREPARE YOURSELF

I think it's a little uncertain if only one creation can be "sustained" for a time. It's possible that Ambrosius was involved in the creation of Penny's body but that the rules explicitly say the old creation (that was asked for) is destroyed. By products wouldn't necessarily be destroyed.

You know, I think the fact that "you can't destroy" rule comes into play means that Ambrosius was involved in creating her body. If the soul could manifest regardless, that rule wouldn't matter.
